Members of the Planning Board are responsible for ensuring compliance with the Beekmantown Comprehensive Land Use Plan. They are responsible for monitoring subdivision of properties and merging of properties in accordance with all Town and Town Zoning regulations, Department of Enviromental Conservation regulations, and New York State Building Codes.

Planning Board regular meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month. All hearings will be published in the Press-Republican newspaper approximately 10 days before the scheduled hearing. Any changes to this schedule will be published in the Legal section of the Press-Republican newspaper. Work Sessions will be held before the regularly scheduled meeting time at 7:00 p.m. The scheduled meeting time is 7:30 pm. The public is welcome to attend.
